Match Report:

Rafa made nine changes today, but we still should have won.  It was really nice to see Harry Kewell playing, and to see El Zhar get on the pitch, too.  We shoudl have scored lots of goals.  Bellamy had three chances, Robbie could have scored twice, too, and Kewell could have got one.  The ball just wouldn’t go in.

Fulham dodn’t look that good, but their goal was nice.

Just Charlton to go, and then it’s ATHENS here we come :)

Match Report:

I was there!!  It was brill!  I have never been anywhere like it ever.  It was so loud!  The atmosphere was amazing!

We had great seats that my Uncle James got me and my dad.  They were on the half way line in the Centenary Stand.  We had a great view and an even better time.  We sat down an hour before kick off and the noise was already as loud as it gets in the middle of a prem game!  By the time the game kicked off, the noise was amazing.  It was sooooooo loud!

The game was perfecto-mundo.  Dan Agger scored a great goal from a brilliant Stevie free kick.  The whole team played brilliantly for the whole game.  Dirk Kuyt had a goal disallowed and he hit the post, but it finished 1-1 on aggregate after extra time, so we went to penalties.  It was phenomenal.

My dad was worried, but I was only a bit because I knew Pepe was ace at saving penalties, and Ceck is useless at penalties.  It was amazing – all the cheering when Liverpool scored a penalty and all the whistles when Chelsea took a penalty.  It was ace.  I’ve been singing all the songs ever since!  The man next to us hugged us when we won!  Everyone was so happy.

Jose Muriniho said some stupid things about Liverpool, and we showed him the best way possible – by BEATING HIS TEAM!!  HA!

On to Athens.  Then we’ll have to shange the words to a song – we’ll have to sing “We’ve won it six times” :) :) :)

Match Report:

Portsmouth were 2-0 up at half time.  Rafa rested lots of players – Stevie, Jamie Carragher, Pepe and some others because of the match against Chelsea on Tuesday, but it didn’t really work today.  El Zhar played, which I liked because I’ve got his name on my shirt :)

Sami Hyppia scored a great goal in teh second half to make it 2-1, and El Zhar did a run down the wing and crossed it into the box, but Fowler couldn’t get to it.  That would have been 2-2.  Still, never mind.

Arsenal beat Fulham, too, which means we are only one point in front of them.  I don’t know what else happened because I only saw it on Match of the Day, and they didn’t show much

Match Report:

We didn’t play very well in the first half.  We were a bit better in teh second-half, but we never looked like we were going to score.  Drogba played really well, and so did Joe Cole – everytime they got the ball it looked like they would score.  I was worried that they would score – and they did.  Dan Agger should have tackled Drogba before he got to the box, even if he fouled him, but he didn’t, and Drogba crossed it and Cole scored

It was bad news that we lost, but it could have been worse.  We still have the second leg to go.  I watched this with my Dad, and my Dad was shouting at the television a lot!  I’ve tickets for the home game, so I hope he doesn’t shout as much then!!

Match Report:

I went to this match with my dad.  It was ace.  I have been to three matches at Anfield and seen a win (Portsmouth) a lose (FA Youth Cup Final v Man U) and now a win YEEEEAY!

We sat in the Anfield Road End Lower, just 26 rows back from the pitch.  We had a brilliant view and even got to see a goal scored right in front of us!!  It was nice to see Bolo playing, but somehow the boys didn’t seem to have any ideas to create stuff in Midfield.  Rafa was resting Stevie to protect him for Wednesday night, but without him Liverpool just don’t seem to play as well.  But, they didn’t play badly, and when Kuyt scored an excellent header, the game changed and we opened up a bit more.

In the second half, we played much better.  Bellamy came on for Crouch and straight away we had pace up front and he made Dirk’s second with a brilliant run into the box.  When Rafa brought Stevie on there was real difference to our play.

Stevie could have scored two absolute screamers, but his vision and Craigy pace meant that right until the final whistle it looked like we would score a third.  We had loads of chances and it was quite exciting to be sat behind the goal where we were having so many shots.  Stevie, Speedy, Dirky, Craigy, Xabi and John Arne all could have got on the score sheet.

It was quite funny when every time Stevie came to warm up the whole ground (well not the Wigan fans :) ) clapped and cheered.  He really is the fans favourite.  It was great, too, that everyone clapped and cheered Emile Heskey off the pitch when he got substituted by Paul Jewel – he’s an Anfield favourite, too, even though he doesn’t play for us anymore.

Match Report:

I watched the highlights to this on e-season, and it was a game of two halves.  The first half was awful, the second half was great.

In the first half, Rafa played Stevie up front with five in midfield.  We never looked like scoring and we didn’t seem to have any ideas.  After the Man City game, I was beginning to think we were losing the plot and weren’t going to score any more goals this season!

But in the second half he brought Durk on to go up front and moved Stevie into the middle and we looked good again.  Stevie was a different player and scored a great left-foot goal to change the whole game.  It seems to me that when Stevie plays in the middle he plays better, and when Stevie plays better, so does the rest of the team.  The second half was great.

We needed these three points, and we got them.  Now we just need three more to be sure of Champions League football next season.

Match Report:

I didn’t see much of this match because they didn’t put much on Match of the Day and I didn’t get to watch it on my e-season ticket.  I did listen to it with my Dad on e-season, though, and it sounded like a terrible game.  I know Man City were at home, but we really need to be winning these games.

Match Report:

Not the best match, it has to be said.  But the boys did what they needed to do, and they won as well.  So, I guess you’d have to say job well done.  My Dad had hoped he could get us tickets to this game, but he couldn’t, and I have to say that I’m not that disappointed because it was pretty dull to watch on TV.

It was nice to see Zenden play – I like Zenden – and he did well.  Paletta got a run out too, which was good.  Belamy got injured, which was a bit of a disaster, but hopefully he wont be out for too long.  I think we will need his pace against Man City.  Robbie came on to take his place, and he’s good, but he’s not what he used to be.

Bring on Chelsea!
