Match Report:
Me and my Dad found a way to watch this on the internet. It’s pretty cool – you have to pay £8 for a year but then you can watch all the matches even if they aren’t on TV. You can do it, too, by joining here. I don’t know why they didn’t put this match on TV, but it didn’t matter because I saw it anyway.
The first half was really tense. We had a few chances – Alonso, Babel and Crouch all had shots or headers on goal, but they just wouldn’t go in. I wasn’t that worried because I thought we’d be OK.
After about half an hour Babel ran to the goal line and passed the ball back across the box to Kuyt, who stopped the ball, tapped it forward and bang! Straight into the net. One nil! I thought that would be it and we’d just go on and score a few more. We were playing quite well – not the best, but OK. We were passing and tackling OK, so I thought we’d probably be OK to score again.
But the second half started terribly. I had just checked the Chelsea v Huddersfield score and was cheering because Huddersfield had just equalized and then, almost straight away, Barnsley equalized! We didn’t clear the ball very well, and they got a cross in which they headed in past Itandje. Riise should have tackled the Barnsley player before he crossed it, and we should have marked the Barnsley players better in the box. Terrible!
It didn’t get any better. Babel went off, Kewell came on and was hopeless, as usual – couldn’t pass or shoot. Gerrard came on and didn’t really do anything. We had all the play, but our passing and shooting let us down. I was beginning to think it was going to finish a draw. But then disaster. 30 seconds to go and Barnsley shoot from outside the box. Goal. 2-1 to Barnsley and we are out of the FA Cup.
Barnsley did well. They deserved to win, I suppose. They defended well and weren’t scared to attack. Their goalkeeper, Luke Steele, was my man of the match because he made some great saves and stopped us winning.
I am not happy at all!

Match Report:
I watched it on Match of the Day with my Dad and my sister, so we only saw the highlights.
Havant looked really good – definitely not 123 places below Liverpool! They went in the lead twice – which was really good for the. I didn’t mind that, really, because I new we’d win in the end. When they scored their first goal, the camera showed a boy who was a Havant fan who was crying because he was so happy! That made me smile!
Some of our defenders were a bit dodgy today – Finnan made some mistakes, and Skrtel gave away the corner for Havant’s first goal, and then deflected Potter’s shot for Havant’s second – not the best full debut! But in the second half, Skrtel’s tackles and his defending was much better.
Benayoun got a hatrick with three good goals – they weren’t great goals, but they were good goals. Lucas, on the other hand, scored a great goal from outside the box. It was a curling shot into the top corner of the net. It was his first goal for Liverpool, too! Crouch scored in the 90th minute, after Stevie Gerrard played him in, but Crouch was offside, even though the linesman didn’t see it.
When we were 4-2 up, Havant & W could have scored again, maybe twice, but Intadje made a beautiful save to keep them out.
I watched the interviews with the Havant players and it was funny listening to them talk about playing at Liverpool. It made me smile! It made me wonder if one day I would play for a team that ran out at Anfield! That would be pretty amazing!

Match Report:
It was Jamie Carragher 500th cap today, so Rafa made him Captain. When he came out of the tunnel at the start of the match, everyone started clapping. I was about to clap as well (but I don’t think he’d have heard me)!
The first half pretty much all Liverpool. We had lots of shots on goal, but we couldn’t really score. Crouch had a couple of goes, Babel had a few well, maybe only two (that rhymes!), but they just wouldn’t go in.
Jamie Carragher was playing really well in defence, and Riise was playing better than usual, which was just as well because Luton had a few attacks.
Then, right in the last minute, Torres went down the middle, passed to Babel and Babel slid it in past Brill. 1-0! Phew! Then, just a few seconds later the whistle went for half time. That was pretty lucky.
The second half was the same as the first half… except we could score. We had lots and lots of shots. Gerrard nicked three goals – they were all good, but the last one was great! Sami grabbed one, too.
Rafa took off Crouch, Stevie and Nando and brought on Leiva and Kuyt and Aurelio. Can’t say I blame him, we were 5-0 up!
It was all the same until the end of the game, and it finished 5-0! Maybe we’ll win the FA cup this year ![]()

Match Report:
This match was on Sky Sports, so I watched it with my Dad and my Sister.
In the first half, we had a few chances to score, but Crouch couldn’t shoot straight and Kuyt wasn’t doing very well. Luton were definitely better than us, and they had a few chances to score. One things for sure, if we carried on playing like this then we wouldn’t win!
And I was right! We didn’t play better and we didn’t win! In fact, we were lucky to draw! Luton had more possession, as many shots and could have won! I think we’ll win the replay at Anfield, but there shouldn’t have been a replay at all!
We were lucky to score, and then, just when it seemed like we might win, Riise scored an own goal and then we never looked like we would win!
Grrrrrrrr!!
